Ranks are awarded when a score threshold is surpassed in a level. Each level has a possibility of 5 ranks to collect: spoon, bronze, silver, gold and platinum. There are different score requirements on each level. (Note: There are no achievements for getting the Spoon.)

Trophilific!! Got either 28 Silver, 16 Gold or 8 Platinum Naughty Cups.
Oh my GOLD!!! Got either 28 Gold or 16 Platinum Naughty Cups.
Nutter!!!!! Got 28 Platinum Naughty Cups.
